  • He was known as Navarasa Thilagam .
He was very good in Hasya rasam . that is comedy. Srini's comment of his considering muthuraman bad in all rasams is in bad taste or from someone who has not seen his movies. for hasya rasam kadhalikka neramillai and bama vijayam and for sentiments see nenjil oor alayam and there are other movies . yes , he was not a great actor nor was MGR . talking of tamil movies and tamil dialogue delivery the present day kids or even yester year actors would be delighted to have the skills of this good guy . ( knowing him personally for a while might give this bias ) one should have seen him laughing heartily without any artificial touch or any airs then they would agree what rasam he was good at.

  • Hi Kaliyan,

apologies if my comment has affected your sentiments.

But I wonder how was my comment in bad taste, considering that i only made a comment on his professional skill, not on his personal life. People do express their judgement on all actors ( there are many who will undermine even sivaji or kamal's talent)

I never mix a performer's personal character with his skills. I am glad to know mr. muthuraman was a nice person.I have seen most of his movies including the ones you have mentioned. Kaadhalika neramillai was a situational comedy which was funny DESPITE poor performances from Muthuram and Ravichandran ( another not so talented actor - who may be a nice person to know, i am not sure)
