Isnt it supposedly the car plates for MGR's car?

Hmm. Weren't the TN series of number plates introduced much after MGR's death? Maybe I'm missing something, sorry.

you are right madhav. MGR's car no is TMX 4777. I believe TN 07 AL 4777 belongs to GV films. May be they insisted on the number plate because it was MGR's fav number.May be it belonged to some MGR fan ( not sure) So we can say the movie title is a homage to MGR's car number plate.

MGR also had an Ambssador registered in Maharashtra and then brought to Madras... obviously the number was MGR 4777; believe there was something connected with his having become CM that happened on July 4, 77, hence the fascination with that number.
