Srini, the name of the thodarkathai is 'poomagaL oorvalam'
I think slowmotion was introduced by Bharathiraja in one of his early films, not sure though..

pls add this question:
how many Indian music directors have movies named after them? Well, thats not correct phrasing. How many Indian movies are there, which happen to share their name with some MD, past or present.
I can think of 3 or 4:
1. Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy - deliberately named after MSV-TKR
2. Sathyam - Telugu movie. There also happens to be a past MD named Sathyam, though presumably the makers of this movie wernt thinking of him when they named their movie
3. Chakravarthy - many movies with this name and a telugu MD with this name. Again, those movies were not named after him but counting them nevertheless
4. Dhina - 'manmada rasa' Dhina and the ajeeth Movie.
Not counted

Shankar Salim Simon - Shankar of shankar-ganesh or shanker-jaikishen but I am not counting this
Sachin - as in SD Burman but I wont count it
Rahul(Hindi movie) - again not counting it for RD Burman
Imaan Dharam - not counting it for D Imaan.
(Sahadevan)-Mahadevan - not counting it for KVM
Also not counting names like Ilayarajavin Rasigai and Amaran for Gangai Amaran or Bose for Chandrabose
