Cool! I would never have found it out myself given my laziness to browse for trivia :-) I just happened to strike on a piece of trivia - I am not sure if it featured here. For whateve it is worth, let me put it down: Connect Thiruda Thiruda and Kshana Kshanam. Answer: RGV wrote the screenplay for Thiruda Thiruda and Mani wrote the screenplay for Kshana Kshanam!
turns out its an urban legend. My wife read it in a telugu mag some years ago.Memory was triggered when I saw Thiruda Thiruda titles last week in some sat channel. But all evidence in internet seems to say RGV did the screenplay for KK. So thats a magnificient trivia, that never probably was :-)
kshanak kshanam was dubbed in tamil as ennamo nadakkuthu. Remember seeing mani saar's name in the credits. But i cant recall if its for story or screenplay
What about the film's story? Was it Mani's alone? Coz I remember seeing the two names together when I saw the movie on Deepavali day 1993, the day the film released in Alankar. Long time ago but I seem to recall the two names together. Can someone throw some light plz....
I doubt it. 1986 was the year Punnagai Mannan released. I doubt if pudhiya padhai came in the year of Punnagai Mannan. It must atleast have been 1989.
ReplyDeleteHats off to you. It's 1988 according to Wikipedia.

Are you sure about the Kshana Kshanam bit? If it is, it is a fantastic piece of trivia.

ReplyDeleteRGV and Mani wrote the screenplay together for Thiruda Thiruda. Probably, stole it together. And hence the title I suppose!
ReplyDeleteSateesh, I saw the credits for the movie last week. Screenplay is by RGV alone.
